- We are a nation of laws, but the current administration doesn't follow them.
- We are a Democratic Society, but we are losing our rights.
- You can legally buy alcohol (a depressant), but not marijuana.
- Voting can make a difference, yet it doesn't.
- You can get a receipt from an ATM , but not from a Diebold machine.
- We are for Democratic nations, but not for democracies we don't like.
- We give education even more money, yet our schools are failing to educate.
- We are "civilized" yet we kill and torture.
- Gambling is illegal, unless the state runs it.
- Murder is illegal, unless you are a soldier.
- Stealing is illegal, unless you are a CEO.
- Abortion is immoral, but war is acceptable.
- Violence is unacceptable even if you try to protect yourself.
- You have the right to bear arms, but you need to register it.
- Jesus taught peace, but Fundamentalists glorify war in the name of a god.
- We celebrate free speech, if you are in a "Free Speech Zone."
- Criminals don't register guns, but honest citizens are required to.
- Muslims, Christian and Jews worship the same god, yet hate each other.
- How can each episode of "E.R." be better than the last?
- Why is "Reality TV" devoid of reality?
- How can a weapon be called "a non-lethal weapon" and still be weapon? Couldn't wet noodle be described as non-lethal?
- A criminal who robs a convenience store is more despised than a CEO who bankrupts a company and destroys people's pensions.
No my dear reader, none of this makes sense to me. This is modern civilization.
