The "Spa-Going Male"

Seeing this article disturbed me "The Spa-Going Male" on AlterNet, which is somewhat of a "liberally inclined" news site.

The whole idea of the Metro-sexual male is creating more slaves to false ideals and increasing market share. The bonus is that women become the assholes they've always dreamed of, which incidentally, is formed in the image of the worst of male traits. They get to fuck anything that moves and experience the emptiness of a string of short term relationships just like a man with no self control. Men simply become passive, sensitive aberrations of nature incapable of action. If they object, they are branded chauvinist pigs or homophobic jerks.

Stupid. What a way to toss your money down the drain. Why pay more on your monthly bills when you can spend a ridiculous amount of money in a spa to further your descent into debt? Why you can use that time to ignore more important issues affecting humanity!

Woman spend money on skin products that basically do nothing while trying to maintain the image of youth and beauty and blame men for it. You see it's represents the repressive patriarchal society that force women into doing this! Women of the skin-care and fashion industry perpetuate this consumer garbage.

You know why men age better than women? Most men don't use it. Stop buying useless Cosmo and Vogue rags selling this snake-oil shit and telling you who and what to fuck and how. Women shouldn't use spas or use these asinine products, let alone men. Brush your hair and teeth, take a bath. Face it, whether divine or not, we are animals and we age, sweat, fart, stink and shit. The further we walk into this cesspool, the harder it is to get out of it.

Why are people trying to push this shit on men? TO EXPAND THEIR MARKET AND MAKE MORE MONEY! Corporations are worse than scavengers, fighting over the last fucking scrap of income left. Apparently to push this idea of turning masculinity into the realm of being an oddity and proving some sort of twisted "liberally-aware, socially-responsible consciousness male. while destroying the last vestiges of womanhood. "I'm new-age metro-sexual male, comfortable enough with my inner femininity to purchase hair-gels, face creams, pectoral implants, Lasik surgery and bleached hair." Men and woman are being turned into indentured slaves to perpetuate myths dreamt up by marketing slugs. It's make-believe, it's bullshit and worthless.

Fact: Woman buy shit to have shit, men buy shit to play with it. It's a security issue.

We are bombarded with endless chatter and images telling us why "you need this product." Ninety-nine percent of the crap marketed to us is USELESS shit we don't need. It's one thing to fill a hole, it's another to fill a vacuum. Our lives saturated with a carousel of junk dressed up in pretty shrink-wrapped packages difficult to open, cheap to produce, expensive to buy and made by people who don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. Everything we own isn't payed for. We are as poor as the people producing these goods and don't realize it. The world economy is based on creating waste, destroying assets and scarcity.

"Want a youthful healthy appearance?" fact is, it comes and goes. Why are we trying to deny reality and our own humanity buy supporting this ridiculous image? Woman with wrinkles and grey hair are attractive just like a 20 something with a firm body, unfortunately, the 20 year old females are idiots, just like their male peers. We are all idiots for believing this. All this shit doesn't work, scream "I want my life back!" Demand it! When we mature, the outward beauty goes within, not smothered in wrinkle cream and stripped with waxes.

I guess the goal is to create a genderless society, indentured to debt, devoid of freedom, politically correct, physically beautiful and morally corrupt, heavily medicated consumers driven by radical religious idolatry perfecting more efficient ways to kill greater numbers of people while preserving real estate, keeping profits high and wages low, creating fictitious enemies to conquer in a black and white world while being overly entertained. But we can look and feel great, being empty shells devoid of any semblance of humanity while we bury ourselves in post consumer waste. Bound to the mindless paradoxes created by a two-party system that's the same under the surface. In order for the system to work, individuality cannot survive or it'll destroy the group-think mentality and form an alternate reality and choice. We can't have that.

Whether actively participating in this or being passive, whether Muslim, Christian or Jew, as we worship the same god, we have become monsters seeking instant gratification for the all mighty dollar, of which the value is less than the paper it's printed on. Our cherished notions of "civilization" are rapidly enclosing us in our own collective hell with varying levels of comfort, if you can afford it. Oh, you can afford it, charge it, with no payments for a year!

You know shit is fucked up and the pacifier is consumerism fueling hatred for ourselves, always falling short of the manufactured images and false beauty portrayed by corporations. Woman, be women and men, be men! Play time is over, it's time to grow up. It's time to wake the fuck up.

Mankind is desperately looking for a saviour to save us from ourselves. Anytime one person tries to educate mankind, they are killed or marginalized and finally denied. We are our own savior and nobody wants to hear the message.

Yea, this is such a wild rant. You are just as aware as I that the world is fucked up, it's just that it's impolite to actually say it. Fixing it would require some work and that's time we jointly don't have. We don't have enough time.

A wise man once said, "The meek shall inherit the earth." They can and will survive because they don't have anything to lose.

Progressives and gun control

Was the American Revolution settled by a debate? Pleasant conversation over coffee?

The far left can't get it out of their collective heads that not all gun owners are xenophobic, drunken rednecks that abuse their wives. Unstable people kill people. They could do it with a steel pipe. Would you ban steel pipes? Do children that drown in swimming pools mean we should ban swimming pools? Remember the HuffingtonPost blogger who who stabbed her lover 222 times. With a screw-driver! Shit, I'd have to take a 10 minute break at 60 strokes, maybe even pack a sack lunch if I planned it.

Let's focus these well intentioned but stupid efforts on the greatest priority first. The indiscriminate bombing of people, especially by the US and Israel (other countries do it, just not as good) Let's take the guns away from the governments of the world, who incidentally make far greater use of guns, warships, bombs and land mines than your ordinary citizen. The Amish have guns, should we take them away from them? Governments are far better at killing than their citizens. Would you disarm them? You would start an ineffective advocacy group to make people "aware" of their suffering, solicit donations from the victims and end up buying executive office furniture with the donations and claim "operating expenses."

People collect guns, beanie babies and baseball cards. True, not every needs an automatic rifle, but most don't own them. This is simply being blown out of proportion. They are conventions for knives and seminars designed for unethical sales techniques.

I believe people who possess large quantities of beanie babies should be monitored. It should require a federal license.

So, America has a population of 300 million now. An extremely small percentage of people commit violent crimes. Within a population you can most certainly expect something to happen.

What about Switzerland? For starters, this neutral country arms citizens. They don't have the culture of violence we do.

Leave rednecks alone. We are mostly Irish, Scottish, and Germans, we built this country and get shit on by the type of rhetoric espoused by feel-good progressive ideology, which is usually nothing but talk. The world is an ugly place and the poor white and black trash bear the brunt of inequality. Lets' tackle education, health care and bringing American Industry back. Foreign labor is bad enough, they don't get paid shit but it's because people are losing jobs here. Desperate people do commit desperate acts. Why don't the true ideals of progressives stay on track with equality and public welfare rather than guns. Solve these issues and the issue of guns used for committing violent crimes will drop like failing of a cliff. You'll get far greater results from prevention of these contributing social ills than treating the symptom, gun control.

So why do gun control progressives hem and haw over this? It's the simplest part of the equation that can understand. They can justify the idea since they are so much more informed than you and care more. It's about awareness people, than only people following this mindset can have.

The real problem is both progressives and conservative can't meet in the middle but expect people to follow these stupid ass arguments because they loathe moderates and each carry around the "holier than thou attitude." It's either guns at any cost or no guns at all.

Why don't you focus on the jackasses who ran Tyco, Enron, Arthur Andersen, WorldCom. These are the greatest crooks on the planet. WHITE COLLAR CRIME!

Gun use for self-defense should not be a crime, guns used to commit crimes are and should simply be enforced. This country is harder on drug users than violent criminals, who can kill with anything, in addition to a gun.

Out of all the personal firearms in the US, only a small percentage use them for crimes or violence. The goody-goody progressive ideology, in the minority, wants guns banned, and if this is in fact a democracy, it's what the majority wants, not the minority.

Really want to ban guns? Take them away from far-right conservatives, progressives are too pussy to use them. Unless they are attacked, then they want to purchase one for 'security' (with no prior experience they increase their risk). Then they'll be Wing-nuts and it'll warrant being taken away from them.

I say we ban each and every object that could be used as a weapon. Anything than cuts, pierces , chemicals, or causes blunt force trauma. The whole world would then simply say hateful things about each other, kinda of like now, but without weapons.

It's fucking ridiculous to trust any government with an arsenal of weapons capable of mass destruction. A government that prefers it's citizens to be unarmed?

I'd seriously doubt if 5% of all the wars ever fought by any country in the history of warfare was justifiable. It's just that 95% is based on lies trying to appear justifiable.
